Overnight Protein Oats

So I’ve never been super fond of oatmeal. Unless it’s a no-bake chocolate oatmeal cookie… no bueno. But lately I’ve been trying to eat a little healthier (no Frosted Flakes or toast for breakie lol) and I’ve noticed that most people go to things like oatmeal for the health benefits. So disappointing! I’ve heard of overnight oats, but had never tried them and I saw this recipe and decided to give it a “go.” Turns out, I LOOOOOOVE them!! I make them the night before I want them the next day, take them out and heat them up for a minute and O.M.G. YUM!!! Go ahead and give them a try and let me know what you think!

Overnight Protein Oats

  • 1/2 c rolled oats regular or gluten free
  • 1/2 small to medium banana sliced
  • 2/3 c unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice (I used 1%)
  • 1/2 T chia seeds
  • 1/2 – 1 T protein powder (I used Sunwarrior Chocolate)
  • 1/2 – 1 T natural creamy peanut butter or any other nut or seed butter
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • tsp honey
  • dash of sea salt

Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate overnight or for four hours. Eat cold or heat in microwave for 1-1:30 minutes! You might need to add a little milk before heating if your mixture seems too thick! Enjoy!
